Take a #bookiewookie with you on your travelsđź“•
I love reading.
And have devoured so many books in my time.
From #biographic to #autobiographic & #businessbooks to #motivationalbooks
Bina binabriggsltn sent me The Red Tread a few months ago. Together with two #redthreads
Known as rakhi - a sacred red thread in the Hindu religious tradition that a sister ties on her brother's right wrist, like a bracelet, or a wrist band for their safe keeping and wellbeing during the festival of #Rakshabandhan
It was my #minibreak read.
A story of love. And life. Of the bond between mother & daughter. Sister with Sister. Family. Anne of Green Gables. Travels & cycling. Of tradition. #diwl. And friendship. Gifts. Facing challenges & rising to them with humility & dignity. And back to love.
When I came to the last page I had a colourful picture of Bina. What makes her tick. As well as what makes her tock.
On the actual day of my 30th wedding anniversary I tied a #rakhi on Jeremy’s wrist & he did the same.
I’ve also put visit India on my #bucketlist. And who knows - I may just get to meet some of the characters in the book 🤞🏼
And maybe-just-maybe I’ll write a book that I’ll send to Bina ✍🏻
If you’d like to follow in my footsteps & those of binabriggsltn shimmie up to my profile & you’ll find the link to order your copy linktr.ee
